Ohio State's 2014 national championship, the first of the playoff era, is forever recognized at Ohio Stadium.

The Buckeyes added "2014" to the board where they recognize all of the program's national championships, which now stands at eight, early in Saturday afternoon's home opener vs. Hawaii.

The Buckeyes drilled Virginia Tech, 42-24, in the their season opener Monday night.
