Six Big Ten teams in the preseason AVCA poll was great. Seven teams in the first regular-season poll is even greater.

Yes, half of the Big Ten teams are represented in the latest AVCA poll, highlighted by No. 1 Penn State, released Monday.

The reigning national champion Nittany Lions went 3-0 last week to remain atop the poll.

The other Big Ten teams ranked include: No. 4 Nebraska, which received one first-place vote, No. 6 Illinois, No. 13 Wisconsin, No. 19 Michigan State, No. 22 Ohio State and No. 24 Purdue, which debuts in the poll after winning its first three games.
