The 2015 NBA Summer League opened this past weekend in Orlando (July 4-10), and several former Big Ten stars compiled strong efforts.

No one was as good as Frank Kaminsky (Wisconsin), the unanimous 2014-15 national player of the year and the No. 9 pick of the Charlotte Hornets, who averaged 16.5 points, 10 rebounds, 1.5 steals and one block in two games.

The former Badger made quite the first statement, putting up 19 points, including four 3-pointers, and 12 rebounds en route to a double-double in his debut vs. Oklahoma City.

Here's a look at some of the other top performances:

Keith Appling (Michigan State): 17 points, 4 rebounds, 4 steals, 1 block
Jared Berggren (Wisconsin): 7 ppg, 3.5 rpg, 2 apg, 1.5 bpg (2 games), including a 9-point, 4-rebound, 3-assist, 3-block effort
Branden Dawson (Michigan State): 11 ppg, 9.5 rpg, 5 ast (2 games), including a 14-point, 14-reboud double-double in his debut
Devyn Marble (Iowa): 14 points, 3 rebounds, 3 assists, 6 steals
Mitch McGary (Michigan): 8 points, 13 rebounds, 1 assist, 1 steal

The Utah Summer League (July 6-9) opens Monday, while the Las Vegas Summer League (July 10-20) tips Friday.
