The 2012 Big Ten Sixth Man of the Year, Purdue's first and only such honoree, and Dru Anthrop accompanied former Purdue star Robbie Hummel, who took over @BigTenNetwork for the draft.
While his former teammate was typing away, Byrd was practicing his trick shots (see video above) and talking Big Ten basketball.
See our Q&A below:
BTN.com: Favorite Big Ten road venue?
D.J. Byrd: I'd have to say Minnesota, because I always seemed to shoot the ball well there.
BTN.com: Least favorite person to have guarding you?
D.J. Byrd: Chris Kramer in practice, but probably Aaron Craft as an opponent. He was very good at crowding and pestering on defense.
BTN.com: Top Purdue moment?
D.J. Byrd: Winning the Big Ten championship as a freshman was an incredible feeling. College GameDay at Mackey vs. Michigan State is up there, as well.
BTN.com: Who would win a game of 21 between Robbie Hummel, JaJuan Johnson and E'Twaun Moore?
D.J. Byrd: Tough one, but I'd have to say E'Twaun because he's a born scorer.
BTN.com: Favorite place to grab a meal at Purdue?
D.J. Byrd: Triple XXX, for sure, but Harry's has pretty damn good wings.
BTN.com: Favorite thing do outside of hoops?
D.J. Byrd: I like to do a variety of things. I love playing the guitar, being with family and going on adventures with friends.
Speaking of friends, here's Anthrop's trick shot:
