The Illinois and Penn State men's track and field teams paced the Big Ten at the NCAA Championships in Eugen, Oregon.
The two teams tied for 10th place, registering 17 points, marking the former's best finish since 1988 and the latter's top since 1966.
"We use a lot of words like great and tremendous and I think those all become understatements in a time like this," Illinois coach Mike Turk said. "This is just a really special group of guys."
