The top-seeded Terrapins rallied past second-seeded North Carolina, 9-8, Sunday night in Philadelphia.
Maryland trailed, 6-3, at halftime before scoring six of the game's final eight goals.
The crown marks Maryland's 13th national championship and the program's first of the back-to-back variety since 2000 and 2001.
Big Ten teams have combined to win nine national championships during the 2014-15 academic year, matching the conference's single-season record (1999-2000).
The Maryland men's lacrosse team plays Denver in the NCAA final at 1 p.m. ET Monday.
