The opening day of the 2015 Big Ten Baseball Tournament featured four outstanding games Wednesday at Target Field, home of the Minnesota Twins.

No. 3 Michigan opened the tournament by holding off No. 6 and two-time defending champ Indiana, 4-1, No. 2 Iowa rallied to stun No. 7 Ohio State, 3-2, No. 1 Illinois came back to beat No. 8 Nebraska, 3-2, and Maryland topped Michigan State, 2-1, in its first Big Ten tourney game.

Sophomore Johnny Slater belted a three-run home run in the bottom of the second inning, and classmate Brett Adcock allowed just three hits and a run in 6.1 innings as Michigan bested Indiana, 4-1, on the opening day of the 2015 Big Ten Tournament on Wednesday morning at Target Field.

NO. 2 IOWA 3, NO. 7 OHIO STATE 2: BOX | RECAP | WATCH REPLAY
Senior Nick Day hit a game-winning, walk-off two-run home run to send the 15th-ranked and second-seeded University of Iowa baseball team to a 3-2 come-from-behind victory over seventh-seeded Ohio State on Wednesday in the opening round of the 2015 Big Ten Tournament.

NO. 1 ILLINOIS 3, No. 8 NEBRASKA 2: BOX | RECAP | WATCH REPLAY
In the opening round of the Big Ten Tournament, the Fighting Illini battled back for a 3-2 victory over Nebraska, setting the Big Ten Conference record with 27 straight wins. Illinois fell behind 2-0, but responded immediately with two runs in the sixth and pushed across the go-ahead run in the eighth. Closer Tyler Jay equaled the Illini school record with his 23rd career save, needing just seven pitches in the ninth.

Sophomore RHP Mike Shawaryn gave up just one run and struck out nine over seven innings as the fourth-seeded Maryland baseball team defeated fifth seeded Michigan State in the opening round of the Big Ten Tournament at Target Field Wednesday night.
