Fact: The Michigan softball team is very good.

Another fact: The Michigan softball team is full of fun personalities who really enjoy pizza.

So much so, the consensus Big Ten champs and Women's College World Series participants do fun pizza-centric celebrations following singles, doubles, triples and home runs.

Watch our feature about the Wolverines' celebrations from earlier this month in the video above.

Here's what the do: hit a single, and the batter and dugout pretend to roll pizza dough; hit a double or a home run, and they pretend to sprinkle cheese; hit a triple, and they pretend to make it rain their favorite pizza toppings.

"It's huge," said star Sierra Romero of the celebrations. "There's people from other teams that actually started doing it, too, or they've come up with their own little thing that they do now. You can't still it; if you do, you have to give us props!"

"It just became a theme that they came up with," head coach Carol Hutchins said. "They've embraced it. It's one of the things that keeps them motivated and keeps them loose and having fun, which is an important part of the game."

The team recently put its pizza making skills to the test at an end-of-the-season pizza party at Coach Hutchins' house. BTN's Lisa Byinton was there for the the fun, and you can watch the full feature in the video above.
