A total of 35 former Big Ten stars were selected, from 13 of the conference's 14 schools, and Iowa offensive lineman Brandon Scherff went No. 5, snapping the Big Ten's drought of top 10 picks.
Three Big Ten players went in the top 15, actually, as Michigan State cornerback Trae Waynes and Wisconsin running back Melvin Gordon went No. 11 (Minnesota) and No. 15 (San Diego), respectively.
