The Illini, who clinched a perfect April by downing Southern Illinois on Tuesday night, finished the month 16-0, including 11-0 in Big Ten action.
In all, Dan Hartleb's team has won a program-record 18 consecutive games, the longest active streak in college baseball and the second-longest this season (24, Texas A&M).
The games haven't been all that close, either. Just check out the tweet above for all of the stats.
Illinois (37-6-1, 13-1) sits atop the Big Ten standings, one-half game ahead of surging Iowa, which travels to Michigan for a 3-game series Friday-Sunday, and 1.5 games ahead of Ohio State, which hosts the Illini in a huge series Friday-Sunday.
Based on the tweet below, Illinois is ready for the big series.
