Eric LeGrand has become an inspiration to everyone who knows his life story, whether you are a Rutgers football fan or not.
This October will mark the five year point after LeGrand suffered a catastrophic spinal cord injury in a game against Army at Metlife Stadium. The injury paralyzed LeGrand, but despite the injury, his motto has always been one word — "believe."
LeGrand, who called Friday night's Rutgers Scarlet-White spring game for BTN, shared a video of himself earlier this week, which shows the progress he is making in his rehabilitation. LeGrand spoke about it on Friday night during the game.
"Every now and then, I like to update people on what I'm doing in my therapy," LeGrand said. "In therapy, I was leaning forward and had my arms on my legs. I'm now able to sit myself back up, which I was never able to do before.
"My therapist was very shocked."
This video should make every @RFootball fan smile as @EricLeGrand52 updates viewers on his remarkable progress. http://t.co/NwQxnN2e79
