Ohio State freshman D'Angelo Russell, along with OSU head coach Thad Matta, will be available to the media at 3 p.m. Thursday at the Buckeyes' practice gym to discuss Russell's future plans for the 2015-16 season.
The 6-5, 180-pound point guard led all freshmen in the nation in scoring this season (19.3), while also averaging 5.7 rebounds and 5.0 assists.
He was named a unanimous Freshman All-American and a first-team All-Big Ten member, leading the Buckeyes to a 24-11 mark.
Earlier Wednesday evening, ESPN.com's Paul Biancardi reported that Russell had declared for the upcoming 2015 NBA Draft.
Chris Mannix of SI.com recently released his 2015 NBA Mock Draft 1.0, which had Russell going No. 6 overall to the Sacramento Kings.
"Questions about Russell's athleticism are drowned out by praise for his playmaking and brilliance in the pick-and-roll," Mannix says. "Russell is an ideal complement to DeMarcus Cousins."
