It's a great time to be a college hockey fan in the state of Minnesota.
The top-seeded Minnesota women's hockey team advanced to its fourth-straight NCAA championship game with a 3-1 win over Wisconsin on Friday night at Ridder Arena.
Juniors Hannah Brandt and Maryanne Menefee recorded three points each to lead the Gophers (33-3-4).
Junior goalie Amanda Leveille had 34 saves in the win.
The Gophers face No. 3 seed Harvard (26-5-3) in the national championship game at 3 p.m. CT on Sunday.
