The Minnesota wrestling team did something Sunday that no team has done since January 2011. It beat four-time reigning national champ Penn State in its home gym.

The Gophers edged the Nittany Lions, 17-16, to stay unbeaten behind five victories in the first seven matches.

Minnesota moved to 10-0 overall and 6-0 in Big Ten with the victory.

MINNESOTA 17, PENN STATE 16: No. 1 Minnesota won five of its first seven matches Sunday, including major decisions by No. 4 Nick Dardanes (141) and No. 1 Dylan Ness (157), to send No. 6 Penn State, 17-16, to its first home loss since January 2011.
