For the eighth time in school history, Ohio State is the national champion.

The Buckeyes topped Oregon, 42-20, to claim the first college football national championship of the playoff era Monday night at AT&T Stadium.
It was an amazing run by Ohio State, which lost quarterback J.T. Barrett in the season finale vs. Michigan and went on to beat No. 11 Wisconsin, No. 1 Alabama and No. 2 Oregon with third-stringer Cardale Jones under center.
Speaking of Jones, as he has several times in recent weeks, he scribed another must-see tweet, this one in the aftermath of Ohio State's national championship victory.
