The Big Ten office released its latest Big Ten Players of the Week on Monday. See the award winners below.
Player of the Week: Travis Trice, Michigan State, G, Sr.
- Averaged 21.5 points, 7.0 assists, 2.0 steals and 2.0 rebounds per game in leading Michigan State to wins at Iowa and against Northwestern
- Shot 52.0 percent (13-of-25) from the field and 70.0 percent (7-of-10) from three-point range
- Posted an assist/turnover ratio of 7.0 with 14 assists against just two turnovers
- Poured in a game-high 25 points, including a 7-of-8 output from three-point range, and handed out four assists against the Hawkeyes
- The 7-of-8 (.875) effort on three-pointers matched a single-game Michigan State record
- Recorded his first career double-double with 18 points and 10 assists, and added three steals, versus Northwestern
- Currently leads the Big Ten in assist/turnover ratio (4.0) while ranking second in assists per game (6.1)
- Earns his second career Big Ten Player of the Week honor and second this season

Freshman of the Week: James Blackmon Jr., Indiana, G
- Scored a game-high 18 points, including a 5-of-5 effort from the free throw line, and pulled down seven rebounds in Indiana?s 69-66 win over nationally ranked Ohio State
- Scored 16 points in the second half, including nine points in the final 5:02
- Currently leads Indiana and ranks seventh in the Big Ten in scoring with 16.7 points per game, and is shooting 88.3 percent from the free throw line, which ranks second in the conference
- Earns his second Freshman of the Week honor
