Let it be known: Michigan coach Jim Harbaugh will be rooting for the Big Ten. Yes, that includes the Wolverines' rival, Ohio State.
Harbaugh appeared on The Rich Eisen Show Thursday afternoon. During his interview with Eisen, Harbaugh was asked who he will be rooting for in Monday's first-ever College Football Playoff National Championship.
"I'm going to be rooting for Ohio State," Harbaugh said.
This will probably shock some Michigan football fans. But truth be told, a win by Ohio State would be great for the Big Ten. A win helps the perception of the conference, and better perception brings in better players.
Also, note how Harbaugh referred to the Buckeyes as Ohio State, as oppose to "Ohio."
