Michigan coach Jim Harbaugh rejoins Twitter, and is racking up followers

Michigan owns college football's most popular Twitter handle (@umichfootball), in terms of followers (257K). Its new coach isn't far behind.

Jim Harbaugh (@CoachJim4UM) rejoined Twitter on Friday, and he already has 126K followers, and counting, as of 2:30 p.m. ET Sunday. For what it's worth, he had 106K at the same time Saturday afternoon.

That's impressive. So much so, that he's already No. 2 among Big Ten football coaches on Twitter. See complete list in tweet above.

Give it some time, and Harbaugh might be on rival Urban Meyer's heels (175K).

Harbaugh was on Twitter when he was at Stanford but did not continue it in the NFL with the San Francisco 49ers.
