Iowa wrestling team wins record 24th Midlands team title

The University of Iowa wrestling team crowned four champions en route to winning their record 24th Midlands Championships title on Tuesday night.

The Hawkeyes scored a tournament-record 189 points, which broke their previous record of 187.5, set in 2013.

Illinois finished second with 130.5, followed by Northwestern (106), Edinboro (101) and Virginia Tech (99.5).

Cory Clark (133), Mike Evans (174), Nathan Burak (197), and Bobby Telford (285) all earned first place finishes at their respective weights.
