(AP) Indiana running back Tevin Coleman is leaving school early to enter the NFL draft.

As a junior, Coleman rushed for 2,062 yards, a school record, and 15 touchdowns while catching 25 passes for 141 yards. Coleman finished seventh in Heisman Trophy balloting and became the first Indiana player to be selected to the All-America team since 1991.

In a statement released by the school, Coleman calls Indiana a "special" place and says it's been a "dream" of his play to play in the NFL.

The 6-foot-1, 210-pound Illinois native says he will be represented by agent Adisa Bakari.

Coleman finishes his career with 3,219 yards rushing, 28 TD runs and a school-record streak of scoring in 15 consecutive games that ended earlier this year.
