Penn State senior kicker Sam Ficken had the honor of using Derek Jeter?s locker for Saturday?s Pinstripe Bowl vs. Boston College, which was played at Yankee Stadium.
How did that work out for Ficken?
Well, the Nittany Lions' senior kicker sent the game into overtime with a clutch 45-yard field goal with 20 seconds remaining in regulation.
Boston College went on to score the first touchdown in overtime, but the Eagles missed the extra point.
When it was Penn State's turn to take over the ball, Christian Hackenberg hit Kyle Carter for a 10-yard touchdown pass in overtime and Ficken drilled the extra point, lifting the Nittany Lions to a 31-30 win.
What an incredible way for Ficken to close out his collegiate career.
