The Big Ten office handed out its Big Ten Players of the Week on Monday. See both of the award winners in this post.
Player of the Week: Andre Hollins, Minnesota, G
- Averaged 21.0 points and 5.0 rebounds per game in leading the Golden Gophers to a road win over Wake Forest in the ACC/Big Ten Challenge and a home victory against Western Carolina
- For the week, shot 51.9 percent from the field, 56.3 percent from three-point range and 83.3 percent from the free throw line
- Converted seven three-point field goals, just one shy of Minnesota?s single-game school record, en route to a season-high 27 points and seven rebounds against Wake Forest
- Chipped in 15 points and handed out three assists in 24 minutes of action versus Western Carolina
- Earns his second career Player of the Week honor

Freshman of the Week: D?Angelo Russell, Ohio State, G
- Averaged 18.0 points, 5.0 rebounds, 5.0 assists and 2.0 steals per game in the Buckeyes? split against #5/5 Louisville and Colgate
- Scored 17 points, handed out six assists, pulled down six rebounds and swiped two steals against the Cardinals
- Scored 19 points, including a trio of three-pointers, dished out four assists, corralled four rebounds and tallied two steals against Colgate, leading Ohio State to the 2014 Buckeye Classic title
- Earns his first Freshman of the Week honor
