Michigan defensive end Frank Clark has been dismissed from the football team after his arrest this weekend on domestic violence charges.
Michigan head football coach Brady Hoke announced the dismissal Monday.
?Frank Clark has been dismissed for violating team rules from the Michigan football program. This is a tragic situation. Our student-athletes will be held accountable when their actions fail to meet the standard we have at Michigan. There is a legal process that will occur and we respect that process.?
Clark has 42 tackles and 4 1/2 sacks this season for Michigan, which hosts Maryland on Saturday and needs to win one of its final two games to become bowl eligible. The Wolverines, of course, play at Ohio State, the Big Ten East leader, in the final week.
