Have you heard Ohio State and Michigan State play Saturday night?

If not, get out from under that rock.

This game is gigantic. Not only is it a rematch of last seasonn's exciting Big Ten championship game and a likely de facto Big Ten East title game, but it's a great opportunity for the victor to improve its stock in future College Football Playoff polls. In Tuesday night's second poll, Michigan State dropped one spot, to No. 8, and Ohio State moved up to No. 14.

Like the previous three meetings in this vastly underrated series, Saturday night's game figures to be a close one.

Why? Well, both teams are good, as the matching 7-1 overall and 4-0 Big Ten records would indicate.

That's just where the similarities begin, though. When one digs deep and compares several of the Buckeyes and Spartans' most important season statistics, the results yield stunningly similar numbers.

Seriously, check out the graphic below.

It doesn't get much closer than that, huh?

See you Saturday night!
