Penn State is 35-1-1 vs. Big Ten newcomer Maryland, however the two school haven't met since 1993.
Make no mistake, Maryland is trying to make this series with its East neighbor a rivalry, and that was evident in pregame Saturday at Beaver Stadium.
Not only did things get a little chippy before kickoff, the Terps refused to shake hands with the Nittany Lions prior to the coin toss at midfield.
Following the game, a 20-19 Maryland victory, Randy Edsall apologized for his players' behavior.
