During the pregame coin toss of Saturday's Maryland-Penn State game, Terps players refused to shake hands with the Nittany Lions, which drew an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty. This came after a pregame skirmish.
Following the game, Maryland coach Randy Edsall apologized for his players? behavior.
"That's not the way we want our kids to be before the game," Edsall said. "I apologize. It was not orchestrated or choreographed. The emotions, you don't know how much emotion was in this game for us and for our kids."
The Terps outscored the Nittany Lions 13-3 in the final quarter and took home a 20-19 win, making them bowl eligible for the second consecutive year.

They haven't met since 1993, but @MarylandPride and @PennStateFball sure looks like a rivalry. http://t.co/ZIE0yuUsOt
