Brady Hoke, along with the rest of the Big Ten coaches, had his weekly Big Ten teleconference Tuesday morning, and it was a popular one.
Hoke, who met with the media Monday to discuss the team's handling of Shane Morris' injuries in Saturday's home loss to Minnesota, received several questions regrading Dave Brandon's early morning statement on the topic.
As a refresher, Morris took a hard hit to the upper body Saturday and was wobbled, needing assistance from teammates to right himself. He appeared to have his bell rung but subsequently was allowed to return to the game. Hoke and staff didn't see the hit and thought Morris had reinjured his ankle, but he had suffered a concussion. In the release today, Brandon said, "I sincerely apologize for the mistakes that were made."
Morris tweeted this message Tuesday morning:
I just want to play football.
