Monday marked Derek Jeter's first day of retirement. And what did the New York Yankees' icon wear to usher in the next chapter of his life? A Michigan t-shirt, of course.
Jeter, a Kalamazoo Central High graduate who received a scholarship to play at Michigan before entering the MLB draft, closed his 20-year Hall of Fame career Sunday at rival Boston.
