You've probably watched a lot of football in your day. That said, you've probably never seen a safety on the opening kickoff, right? Until now.

It happened in the Western Illinois-Wisconsin game Saturday, when the Leathernecks' Kyle Hammons dropped the kickoff. The ball rolled out of the end zone, and Hammonds exited the end zone to pick up the ball before taking a step back and kneeling for what he hoped would be a touchback.

The officials initially called it a touchback, but Wisconsin challenged the play and it was ruled a safety.
