If you were wondering why Wisconsin running back Melvin Gordon only got two carries in the fourth quarter Saturday night vs. LSU in Houston, there's a reason. Gary Andersen told reporters Monday that Gordon was dealing with a hip flexor. That not only explains the two carries but why he was caught from behind on a big run to open the second half.

Gordon says he's healthy and ready to play Saturday vs. Western Illinois.

He also said the coaching staff was looking out for what was best for him.
