Big Ten newcomer Rutgers kicked off its conference debut with a bang.
Senior quarterback Gary Nova hit Leonte Carroo with a 78 yard touchdown strike on the first play of the game to give Rutgers a 7-0 lead over Washington State.
If that wasn't enough, sophomore Justin Goodwin, who converted from running back to cornerback this offseason, picked off Connor Halliday's pass on Washington State's opening possession.
You can't ask for a much better start than that.
Look at that. Rutgers is gonna spice up the Big Ten.
