Minnesota and Rutgers opened up Big Ten play with impressive victories Thursday night. The Gophers kicked off the action by topping Eastern Illinois, 42-20, at TCF Bank Stadium. Rutgers followed with a 41-38 comeback win over Washington State in its Big Ten debut.
