One of the biggest questions facing Nebraska's football team this season is who will replace Taylor Martinez? It looks like the leading candidate right now is sophomore Tommy Armstrong Jr., who played in nine games last season as a redshirt freshman following an early-season injury to Martinez.

It looks like Armstrong is doing everything in his power to get the upper hand on Nebraska's quarterback competition, including receiving tips from future NFL Hall of Fame quarterback Brett Favre.

Armstrong tweeted out the following message on his Twitter account and attached a photo with Favre on Instagram.

Armstrong completed 51.9 percent of his passes for 966 yards with nine touchdowns and eight interceptions last season. Those numbers will need to improve if the Huskers are going to compete for a Big Ten title in 2014.

What better way to improve on those numbers than to receive some tips from one of the greatest quarterbacks in NFL history, right?
