Penn State freshman Zach Saar scored the game-winning goal in double-overtime to lift the Nittany Lions to a 2-1 win over Michigan in the opening game of the 2014 Big Ten Men's Hockey Tournament. Taylor Holmstrom added a goal and sophomore goalie Matthew Skoff had 52 saves for Penn State.
Phil Di Giuseppe had the lone goal for Michigan, while freshman goalie Zach Nagelvoort added 63 saves.
