Drew Brevig scored the game-winning goal in overtime to lead Ohio State to a 2-1 victory over Michigan State in a Big Ten Men's Hockey Tournament opener. With the victory, the Buckeyes advance to play No. 1 Minnesota at 8 p.m. ET on Friday in a Big Ten semifinal matchup.
Tanner Fritz scored the other goal for Ohio State, while freshman goalie Christian Frey added 26 saves in the win.
Greg Wolfe scored the lone goal for Michigan State.
