After the NCAA tourney announced its field Sunday night, the NIT released its bracket. Minnesota and Illinois made the field as No. 1 and No. 2 seeds, respectively. The Gophers will host High Point on Tuesday, while the Illini will play at Boston on Wednesday due to renovations at State Farm Center. Indiana, which was eligible for the tourney, was not selected.

ILLINOIS
Illinois (19-14) earned a No. 2 seed in the 2014 National Invitation Tournament and will face No. 7 seed Boston University (24-10) in the first round on Wednesday, March 19, at 6 p.m. CT. The game will be broadcast by ESPN2. Despite having a higher seed, the Fighting Illini will hit the road to face the Terriers at Agganis Arena in Boston due to renovations taking place at State Farm Center in Champaign. MINNESOTA
The University of Minnesota men?s basketball team will continue its season in the 2014 National Invitational Tournament, as the Golden Gophers earned a number-one seed. Minnesota will open play in the 32-team tournament on Tuesday night at home against High Point University. Game time is set for 7:15 p.m. CT at Williams Arena, and the game will be broadcast on ESPN3. Read full GopherSports.com release.
