Outdoor hockey games are all the rage and the next one happens Friday night at Minnesota as part of our weekly Frozen Friday Big Ten men's hockey doubleheader on BTN/BTN2Go (see the full TV schedule here). The Gophers take on Ohio State at 9 p.m. ET on a rink built in the middle of TCF Bank Stadium's field.
You may recall the Gophers played Wisconsin in the 2013 Hockey City Classic in Chicago – look back at the highlights here. And we had that really cool video of the ice being built, too.
As part of this years Hockey City Classic, the rink was open to a number of events, including public skates and local league games. We took to Twitter and Instagram to dig up the best fan photos and put them in this post.
