No. 3 Iowa hosted No. 1 Penn State in a rare non-conference battle of Big Ten teams Saturday night. The two coaches decided to schedule the dual meet after the Big Ten schedule did not include a conference date between the teams.

It was a good thing they did.
The much-anticipated match lived up to the hype, but in the end, it was the No. 1-ranked Nittany Lions who came out of Carver Hawkeye Arena with an impressive 24-12 win over Iowa.
