The defending National Champion Indiana Hoosiers men's soccer team started conference play right where they left off last season. Femi Hollinger-Janzen and Nikita Kotlov each scored a goal in Indiana's 2-0 win over Ohio State on Sunday afternoon at Jerry Yeagley Field in Bloomington.
Sophomore goaltender Michael Soderlund recorded five saves for the Hoosiers, who out-shot Ohio State, 33-10 in the victory.
Alex Ivanov had 10 saves in the loss for Ohio State (2-5-2, 0-1 Big Ten).
With the win the Hoosiers improve to 4-4-1 on the season and remain undefeated in Big Ten Openers.
