The Nebraska defense was embarrassed in last week's narrow 37-34 victory over Wyoming. Not only did the Huskers have to hold on late for the win, they surrendered 602 yards. Saturday night – at least in the first quarter – the Nebraska defense atoned for last week's lackluster performance. In a big way. Like, to the tone of two interceptions returned for a touchdown.

Stanley Jean-Baptiste did it first, returning an interception 43 yards on the oepning possession, and 12 minutes later, Ciante Evans took one back 22 yards.

Nebraska hadn't returned two interceptions for scores in a game since 2010 vs. Idaho.
