Michigan State baseball defeated Iowa on Mother's Day at Duane Banks Field, 4-2. The Spartans (29-16, 10-8 Big Ten) got an outstanding performance out of sophomore Mick VanVossen on the mound. He allowed just two runs, one earned in the win. Blaise Slater and Justin Hovis both notched RBIs for the Spartans.
