Little Jack Hoffman has captured the attention of fans nation-wide. The 7-year-old Nebraska fan who is battling brain cancer got to run a play in the Husker spring game on Saturday, bolting around right end for a 69-yard touchdown run. It was the highlight of the day-not just in Lincoln, but across the nation. In case you missed it, check it out.

"We've had fans from all teams sending emails, media requests to talk to the family from all over," Nebraska spokesman Keith Mann told the Lincoln Journal Star. "It's easy to see how popular he has become on social media.

"It's taken off and been neat to follow. It's really brought national awareness to telling Jack's story."

Tom Shatel of the Omaha World-Herald also sounds off on the Hoffman run. And he also reveals how cancer has entered his home with his wife battling the hideous disease.
