Michigan State 56, Indiana 46: BOX | RECAP
The Michigan State women's basketball team continued its success at Assembly Hall, winning its 10th straight game in the building with a 56-46 win over Indiana on Sunday. Sophomore Kiana Johnson posted 15 points, five assists and four steals, all team highs, while playing 36 minutes off the bench. The Spartans improve to 16-2 overall and 4-1 in the Big Ten.
Northwestern 62, Illinois 58: BOX | RECAP
Northwestern played in-state rival Illinois for the second time in 11 days and picked up the 62-58 victory Sunday afternoon in Champaign. It was a close battle throughout with six lead changes and eight ties but the ?Cats broke a 58-58 tie late in the game by scoring the final four points. Freshman forward Maggie Lyon?s layup put NU ahead 60-58 with 1:32 to play and sophomore forward Alex Cohen drained two free throws with 19 seconds left to secure the victory.
Wisconsin 68, Ohio State 49: BOX | RECAP
It had been a while — 12 years and 20 games to be exact — but the Badgers did what seemed impossible Sunday afternoon, defeating Ohio State. Wisconsin used a strong second half to earn a commanding 68-49 win over the Buckeyes at the Kohl Center on Sunday afternoon.
Iowa 62, No. 11 Purdue 46: BOX | AP RECAP
Jaime Printy and Melissa Dixon scored 15 points apiece and Iowa never trailed in defeating No. 12 Purdue 62-46 on Sunday. Theairra Taylor had nine points and 10 rebounds, and Samantha Logic had 10 assists as the Hawkeyes (14-5, 3-2 Big 10) handed Purdue its first conference loss of the season.
