Devyn Marble continued his red-hot shooting with 27 points, leading Iowa to a 90-46 rout of South Carolina State on Wednesday night. The Hawkeyes (10-2) are off to their best start since 2004-05.

Marble scored 21 points in the first half — one more than South Carolina State (4-8) did as a team. The junior guard connected on a season-high six 3-pointers. He played only four minutes in the second half.
The Hawkeyes led 11-9 early in the first half when they exploded with a 19-4 run during a six-minute stretch.

FINAL: Devyn Marble scored 27 points to lift Iowa to a 90-46 win over South Carolina State on Wednesday at Carver-Hawkeye Arena in Iowa City. Iowa (10-2) hit 51 percent of its field goals (31-of-61), including 11-of-23 3-pointers (48 percent). Iowa held South Carolina State (4-8) to 25 percent shooting from the field. Matthew Hezekiah had 12 points for the Bulldogs in a losing effort.
HALFTIME: Fresh off a 30-point performance, Devyn Marble scored 21 points in the first half to carry Iowa to a 47-20 lead over South Carolina State. The Hawkeyes limited the Bulldogs to 21 percent from the field in the first 20 minutes. Iowa limited the Bulldogs to 21 percent from the field in the first 20 minutes. South Carolina State went into a funk with the score 33-17, going 1:58 without a point while Iowa went on an 8-0 run to open up a 24-point lead. Zach McCabe added seven points for the Hawkeyes, who had eight players enter the scoring column.
