Semaj Christon scored 25 points to help lead Xavier to a 63-57 win over Purdue on Saturday. Terone Johnson had 19 points and 10 rebounds and Ronnie Johnson had 12 points for the Boilermakers (3-4), who missed all 17 of their 3-point attempts, leaving them scoreless from beyond the arc for the first time since 1992.

FINAL: Purdue misfired from the floor and the free throw line all game in a 63-57 loss to Xavier on Saturday at Mackey Arena in West Lafayette. Purdue (3-4) shot 65 percent (15-of-23) from the charity stripe and 35 percent (21-of-60) from the field.

Semaj Christon sparked Xavier (6-1), as he scored 25 points and knocked down 8-of-12 shot attempts in the win. Justin Martin had a quality shooting game, nailing 5-of-7 shots from the field and scoring 12 points.
Terone Johnson scored 19 points for the Boilermakers in the loss. Purdue also got a double-digit game from Ronnie Johnson, who scored 12.
HALFTIME: Neither Purdue's D.J. Byrd nor Xavier's Dee Davis have been able to get going, but the Boilermakers lead 29-26 at the half. Trailing early in the game, the Musketeers used an 11-0 run to blow past Purdue and take a 11-2 lead.
Xavier has found a way to neutralize the Boilermakers' leading scorer, Byrd. The senior enters halftime with zero points, well below his season average of 12.7. Purdue made 11 of 18 two-point shots in the first half, but shot 0-of-10 from beyond the arc.
The Musketeers' leading scorer, Davis, has been shut down thus far. The sophomore enters halftime with three points, well below his season average of 14.3.
The Boilermakers' Ronnie Johnson had a big first half, with eight points. Xavier's Semaj Christon already has 10 points.
