Michigan's offense looked sharp in the third quarter, scoring 14 points, and the Wolverines now lead 42-10. Michigan finished with 110 yards through the air and 64 on the ground in the quarter. The Wolverines' defense shut down Iowa, allowing only 11 yards of offense in the quarter.
The last 28 points have been scored by Michigan.
The Wolverines made their lead 35-10 when Devin Gardner scrambled for a three-yard touchdown run on the last play of an 11-play, 81-yard drive.
Michigan added to its advantage when Gardner tossed a 29-yard touchdown to Devin Funchess, the last of a six-play, 60-yard drive to give the Wolverines the lead, 42-10.
Michigan's Jeremy Gallon reached the 100-yard receiving mark for the game thanks to two catches for 46 yards in the quarter, and currently sits with 133 yards in all.
The Wolverines will start the fourth quarter with possession at the Hawkeyes' 33-yard line.
