Connecticut took home a victory, 66-62 over No. 14 Michigan State in an upset on Friday. Connecticut's (1-0) Shabazz Napier had 25 points and three assists.

FINAL: The Huskies broke out to an early 14-point lead after a 20-6 run in the first. Napier capped the run off with a field goal to help the Huskies lead 40-33 at the half.
Other Connecticut scorers in double figures included DeAndre Daniels, who scored 12 and Ryan Boatright, who scored 13.
Keith Appling scored 17 points, hauled in three rebounds, and dished out five assists for Michigan State (0-1) in the game. The Spartans struggled from the floor, shooting 39 percent (24-of-61). Michigan State was tough on the offensive boards, grabbing 15. More Michigan State scoring came from Branden Dawson, who scored 15.
The Spartans lost despite outrebounding Connecticut 35-25.
HALFTIME: Shabazz Napier has 14 points to lead Connecticut to a 40-33 lead over No. 14 Michigan State at the end of the first half. The Huskies never trailed in the first half and led by as many as 16 points.The Spartans had nine offensive rebounds in the first half, leading to second-chance opportunities. Derrick Nix led the way for Michigan State in the first half, with six points and nine rebounds.
