Michigan State picked up 86 yards in the ground game during the third quarter, and the Spartans now lead 17-14. Dan Conroy kicked a 25-yard field goal to break the 14-14 standoff in favor of Michigan State. The play capped off an 11-play, 67-yard scoring drive.

The Spartans will start the fourth quarter with good field position on Nebraska's six-yard line.
