Ohio State picked up 168 yards in the ground game during the third quarter, and the Buckeyes now lead 38-27. Mitch Ewald split the uprights two times in the quarter for Indiana. The Hoosiers closed the gap to 24-17 when Ewald kicked a 21-yard field goal to put the finishing touches on a 71-yard drive. The key play on Indiana's drive was Cameron Coffman's 39-yard pass to Kofi Hughes.

Ohio State added to its advantage when Braxton Miller scrambled for a 67-yard touchdown run, the last of a one-play, 67-yard drive to give the Buckeyes the lead, 31-17.

Indiana put a bow on an 80-yard drive when Coffman threw a 76-yard touchdown pass to Shane Wynn to make the score 31-24. Ohio State made its lead 38-24 when Kenny Guiton found Carlos Hyde open for a 14-yard touchdown pass on the last play of a seven-play, 75-yard drive.

Coffman clinched a 200-yard passing game with 143 in the quarter, part of his 220-yard day through three quarters for the Hoosiers.

The Buckeyes' Hyde reached the 100-yard rushing mark for the game thanks to 70 in the quarter, and currently sits with 129 yards in all.

Ohio State has possession at Indiana's 21-yard line to start the fourth quarter.
