Louisiana Tech now leads Illinois, 45-17, thanks to a 24-point third quarter. The Bulldogs have scored 24 straight points. Louisiana Tech opened up the lead, 28-17, after marching down the field for a two-play, 81-yard drive that ended when Colby Cameron tossed a 78-yard touchdown to Quinton Patton.

The Bulldogs opened up the lead, 35-17, after Cameron threw a 21-yard touchdown pass to Patton to end an eight-play, 74-yard drive.

Louisiana Tech made the score 42-17 when the Bulldogs recovered a fumble in the endzone. Louisiana Tech expanded its lead to 45-17 thanks to a five-play, 10-yard drive that ended when Matt Nelson made a 32-yard field goal. A fumble recovery by the Bulldogs put Louisiana Tech at the Illinois 25-yard line to open the drive.

The Bulldogs' Patton reached the 150-yard receiving mark for the game thanks to two catches for 99 yards in the quarter, and currently sits with 156 yards in all. Louisiana Tech's Cameron hit 200 yards passing for the game in the quarter, part of his 229-yard passing performance thus far.

The Bulldogs have possession at their own 44-yard line to start the fourth quarter.
